Under the Sea SC238

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge (SC238). I stamped and heat embossed the little fish and other underwater creatures on white cs, sponged with blue/green ink, sprinkled white glitter in the middle of it, then encased it all with a little rectangular piece of acetate that I had saved from packaging. This made a little shaker, so that the "crystal sand" can move around. I then cut out "portholes" with my coluzzle and punched the edges of the tempting turquoise panel. The background paper is recycled wallpaper, which I cuttlebugged. Added some dew drops for "bubbles" and voila. tfl

Koi Mojo Fluorish MOJO96 FTTC25

This card is a double challenge:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday (FTTC25) http://flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/2009/07/flourishes-timeless-tuesday_20.html, to use shimmerz on our card.

My background panels, which to me represent sea grasses, are done with the shaving cream technique. The swirly bg is done with sponging on cuttlebugged cs. I also sponged around the koi, which have been watercolored, then covered in gold shimmerz. tfl

Rusty Flowers CC228

You Are My Sunshine CAS24

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS24), using turquoise, orange and yellow. I love this little sunshine stamp that my sister gave me for my birthday, and I have had the sunshine sentiment stamp and the little sunshine punch for a long time. Love how they just work together! I punched the little suns out on the bottom and lined the inside with narrow yellow strip covered with adhesive, then sprinkled gold glitter on the outside to make the little sparkly suns. The big sun is stamped in gold, then the inside circle of the sun is colored with embossing markers in orange and yellow, then covered with gold embossing powder and heat set. Sponged yellow ink around the sun and punched out with scalloped punch. tfl

Flowers with Glass Tiles TLC229

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC229). First thing I thought of when I saw this technique was a glass tile backsplash, which I just love! So...here's my interpretation. Everything is heat embossed with clear embossing powder, and although it doesn't show in the picture, the tiles do shine like glass. You can see it in the vases and flowers. tfl

Porcelain Bees SC235

This card is for SCS Sketch Challenge (SC235). I cut out the pictures from the cover sheet for my Basic Grey Porcelain paper pack. I love this paper. The patterns on the paper itself would have been a little too big to work with these little squares, but the pictures on the cover sheet were just right. The bees and little paislees are Basic Grey Porcelain chipboard stickers. tfl
