Bikini Fun LSC192

Here is my entry for LSC192...making a stamp into something else. I used a heart stamp to create a bikini top by turning it upside down and cutting the little middle heart away with my craft knife. I then used the bottom half of the heart to create the bikini bottom. Inside is a pair of flip flops sticker. tfl

Bloom

Here is my entry for WT190. This was out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to try it. Thanks to Faith (Markie's Mom)...I used her idea of embossing, freezing and scrunching to get the crackled effect. I had some paper that looked like cracked paint and used this technique on it...then paper-pieced the awning and flowers and set them out with pop-dots. The awning and flowers were a little too bright to go with the distressed window and box, so I softened them up with more water to make them blend in more. I like the end result. It did take me quite a while though, so this card is going nowhere but in a scrapbook as an embellishment!! No chances of it being thrown away!! lol tfl

Love Ya Bunches SC200

This is my entry for SC200. I used some scrap cuttlebugged pieces and negatives from a cricut cutting in place of the 3 squares on the right. Been looking for a chance to use these hearts for a long time. This was perfect! tfl

Memorial Leaf

This card is for LSC191, to use a leaf as the focal point and a pink somewhere on the card for Chemo Angels (CFC02). I used a leaf from a plant on our patio. It is a plant that we received from some wonderful friends when my dh's father passed away a couple of years ago. It has grown up the wall and over the patio doors. It's nice to have a reminder of that dear man every day when I water the garden. tfl

Pink Shimmer, TLC191

This is my entry for TLC191. Didn't have Twinkling H20s and couldn't find any at Michael's so used a pearlized pink gel pen. I am participating in the Chemo Angels, but I'm going to send this one to my sister's friend who just found out that she has cancer. tfl

FS 89 Challenge

This card is for FS 89...what an inspiration! I cased this card from ink-e's gallery for my entry...http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=96986. Used the origami on top layer instead of bottom, daisies instead of butterflies, dp paper and different colors. Also made front a little smaller than back so that contrasting border would show. This was fun!

Thanks for letting me vent...now onto my laundry that I was gonna start about 2 hours ago!!! Gee, more fun...lol

Christmas cards for troops, continued

Spent last couple of days catching up on scrapbooking...and working on some more cards for military challenge at Gina K. Here's a picture of some I did using my cricut design studio and cute dp and stickers. Gonna package them up and send off to Gina K Monday so that they can then be put together with others to be sent to our troops to send home to their loved ones. Kept them simple so that they would be easy for them to mail.
