Cardinal Spring Celebration F4A1 M4TW18

This card is for 3 challenges:

1. Splitcoaststampers Free For All Challenge found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=481824. My texture is my cuttlebugged bg, and my color not normally used is red/green combo;

2. Paper Makeup Stamps Inspiration challenge, found here: http://papermakeupstamps.blogspot.com/2010/02/makeup-4-weekend-18.html. It certainly doesn't feel like spring here yet, but I'm hoping if I keep doing spring-like cards, that it will happen SOON!!!!; and

I'm hoping that my cuttlebugged swiss dots counts as polka dots. Hmmm...I seem to be having a lot of hopes...maybe I should do my next card with a theme of hope! hehe

Spring Chick for Cards for Kids

This cute card is for 3 challenges. I love combining challenges. It's a challenge!!! LOL

1. Use a butterfly somewhere on your card - SNSDD6 - found at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps here: http://snrcardiverse.ning.com/group/sweetnsassystamps/forum/topics/218-digi-day-challenge-6;

2. Use ribbon and trim (border punch) - LSC260 - found at Splitcoaststampers here: http://http//www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480986; and

3. Wishing for Spring theme on a clean and simple card - CAS54 - also at Splitcoast found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480407.

I used a digi from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps, colored it with Bic markers, stamped the little "hi" banner beside him so that it would show through the window that I cut out with my Nesties from front after adhering border-punched dp. Punched the butterfly out of a scrap of glittered cs that I had made from another project, and there you go...a cute little card to say hello to one of the children for Jennifer McGuire's Cards for Kids drive, found here: http://jennifermcguireink.typepad.com/my_weblog/we-are-collecting-cards-for-ten-children-and-their-families--kate--sami----a-few-things-to-know--this-card-drive-will-be-on.html.

Fuschia with Butterfly MMSC41 CC258

Hi Blogger Friends,

Been a while since I was able to create. First, I had decided that until I organized my scrap room, I would not let myself create, then the weekend, which is designated together time for Bob and I, and yesterday he had to have tests to check if he is in his 5th year (a huge milestone) of remission from esophogeal cancer...and the doctor says things look fine...happy dancing...did a few biopsies, which we will get results from, but it's looking good!!! Pray for us, please! Thanks. I'll let you know when we get the results officially.

Now...on to my card for today. This card is for 2 challenges:

1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC41 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/; and

2. Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge - CC258 - found here: http://http//www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480558

I used a digital stamp which was created by Christine Dark of Sketchingstamper digi-stamps. I colored it with watercolor pencils, then spritzed it with Shimmer Spray, which I should have done first, as it made the color run a little, but I think it's still ok. Then I cuttlebugged the Soft Suede cs with one of my Asian folders, which I had inked with gold ink with my brayer. Then I sprinkled that with gold detail embossing powder and set it with my heat gun. The flower cuttlebugged panel is another of the Asian folders. I just love these! I used gold paint pen around the edges of my main image panel and also to highlight the little stamens on my flowers. Added my gold embossed butterfly and sentiment, gold studs and Voila! Done! Phew! lol tfl

Love You MMSC39

This card is for the Midnight Madness Challenge - MMSC39 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/

I made this for Valentine's Day for my dear MIL. Inside is stamped, a fluorishy "Love You", and I'm going to write above it: "Just a few reasons why we..."

The heart was cut out of a piece of cs that I did the shaving cream technique on. The heart stamped onto that was heat embossed with detail gold powder. Then it was mounted onto a piece of Core'dinations that I ran through the Cuttlebug and sanded. This in turn was mounted onto a piece of my favorite dp. tfl

Love Letters CPS152

Handbag gift box TLC258

This little gift box handbag was made for today's Splitcoaststampers Technique Lover's Challenge - TLC258 - found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478576

The original design is from Mel McCarthy and the tutorial can be found on her blog here: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2008/11/year-of-flowers-card-set-in-bucket.html

Thanks, Mel for the template! Love this!

I printed the template directly onto the back of my dp and then folded the dp in the middle of the bottom section so that I could run it through my Cuttlebug with one of my new Asian folders. Then I assembled it and stamped and heat embossed "for you" on a little chipboard heart for the front...filled the box with stamping supplies and candy for my friend...and tied it together with sheer ribbon...then added a little silk flower stem tucked inside. tfl
