with Love & caring

This card was inspired by the following challenges:
1. Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge - FS271 - featuring Shellie Daniel aka shellied. The card I cased from her gallery is found here:

2. Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #46 - Black and White and 1 other color, plus ribbon or lace...hope twine counts; and

3. Less is More - Week 63 - one layer with some doodling. I did some doodling on the stamped image, and at the bottom of it. Plus, I drew a frame around everything.

Friends Forever MMSC64

This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC64 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/07/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-64.html.

Also polka dot challenge - THT060 - found here: http://treehousestamps.blogspot.com/2010/07/treehouse-thursday-challenge-060-seeing.html.

I used one of Priscilla's digis, which can be found as a freebie here at Crafters Digital Art Center: http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/priscillastylesstore/forum/topics/priscillastyles-current. Isn't it cute??!! Paper-pieced the skirt for a sheer overlay that I decorated with diamond Stickles. Used silver metallic marker on the stand.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Masculine Birthday Card MMSC56 CC273

This card is for my brother-in-law's birthday. I used 2 challenges for inspiration:
1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC56 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/05/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-56.html for the layout; and
2. Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge - CC273 - found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492949.
I stamped the birthday cake and sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink and colored with Copics. Then I added glossy accents to the cake stand to make it look like glass, and added a little sky blue, which was the "dessert option" for the color challenge. Added gold stickles to the candle flames and brown stickles to the chocolate birthday cake. A few washers and clips for accents, and it's done. Hand drew the candle and sentiment on the envelope. tfl

Butterflies & Flowers

Amy came over today and we made two cards. The top one I made is for today's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge - WT268 - to use chipboard. The little buttons in the corners are chipboard. The butterfly is a sticker that Amy gave me (Thanks, Amy!), backed with the reverse side of the core'dinations cs that I used for the cuttlebugged and sanded background panel. Stickles on his body and antennae.
The second card is made using the "Black Magic" technique. I heat embossed the white flower which was stamped on black cs, and then using a cotton ball, rubbed chalks over it. The top bg panel is more core'dinations cs, cuttlebugged and sanded. I just love that stuff, don't you??!! tfl

Sweet Daisy May CC237

This card is for Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge (CC237), rich razzleberry, crushed curry and basic black. The main image is from Cute Daisy May Designs. I colored her with watercolor pencils and chalked her scalloped background to soften it and blend with the rest of the card. The sentiment panel is cuttlebugged on core'dinations paper and sanded. I scored 3 lines on the scalloped edge. tfl

Well, I need 4 birthday cards for this month, so this challenge worked perfectly to get a start. This was a fun one! Thanks SCS. LSC221 (using circles and only stamps from one set) was perfect. I popped the cupcake image and the scalloped circle it's on on pop dots. Otherwise, kept bulk low for easy mailing. Hope you like it. tfl

Valentine for Bob 2009

First of all, let me apologize for the pic being sideways. Sometimes blogger does this...and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks.
Here is my challenge card for WT205 at SCS, using fabric. This is a valentine card for my dh. Third one I made for him before being satisfied. The heart is made of felt, which I cuttlebugged. The embossing was much more pronounced before I peeled off the backing to expose the adhesive, but it is still there. If I do this again, I will leave the backing on and glue the whole thing onto the card. tfl
