Amy and I at CHA - July 31, 2009

Here's a pic of my friend, Amy and I at CHA. I finally realized I'm always mentioning her in my posts as we've created some lovely backgrounds and things in the little time that we've known each other, so thought you should see who I'm always talking about. She's a wonderful and very talented lady, and I feel very blessed to have her as a friend.

Dragonfly Dreams SC242

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge (SC242). Most of the background papers were different background techniques done with my stamping friend, Amy. The #3 panel is cricut and the leaves are diecuts sprayed with Shimmers and veins added with Shimmering Pearls and stickles. The panel that the dragonfly is sitting on was a piece of a demo done by a lady at CHA. tfl

Leaves of Peace (CAS28) and Pots of Gold (TLC234)

The top card is for Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS28), to make a masculine card. I love this new stamp I got at CHA. I stamped the leaf multiple times on glossy white cs and heat embossed. Sorry that blogger turned it sideways. Jeesh.
The bottom card is for Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC234), gold leaf pen resist. I used my gold metallic paint pen and a stencil I created with my cricut. The other gold panel is a botched attempt at faux metal...knew it would come in handy for something...lol. I used glimmer mist for the bg for the flowers.

Dramatic Birthday SC241

This card is for our nephew's birthday. He is involved with theater, so I thought this would be appropriate. We will put a gift card to the movie theater inside.

I used Splitcoaststampers' Sketch Challenge (SC241) for my layout. The ticket is computer generated and I added the sentiment info in my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe program. tfl

Beauty Thinking of You IC192 CC230

I rarely get to do Saturday's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, and it is one of my favorite challenges. Today I was inspired by this piece: http://www.bellacor.com/fullsize.cfm?Sku=388H80394.
I got this Whitewash Core'dinations paper at CHA and just love it, and I think it worked perfectly to recreate the beautiful look of the vase. I also used Tuesday's color challenge (CC230) as I didn't get a chance to do it that day. tfl

Cupcake Celebration LSC232 MMSC13

This card is for Splitcoaststampers' Limited Supply Challenge (LSC232), to make a food-related card using only cardstock with "food" names.

I used pale plum and perfect plum SU cardstock, some plum print paper, and chocolate core'dinations, which I ran through the cuttlebug and sanded. I stamped my cupcake on the brown core'dinations with white ink and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then cuttlebugged and cut apart to use the chocolate side for the frosting and the plum side for the cupcake paper. I then crimped the plum cupcake paper and mounted my cupcake on a pale plum paint chip.

My layout is from the Midnight Madness challenge (MMSC13) found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/

This is a card that I made the other day with the help of my friend, Amy (Alibry on Splitcoast). The butterfly panel was done by her, and she showed me how to make the little flower medallion. tflAnd thank you, Amy!!

Hot Rod Birthday SC240

This card is for my brother's birthday. I used Splitcaststampers' Sketch Challenge (SC240) for my layout. The hot rod pic is from the Internet. The "headlight" embellishment behind the main image is a vellum tag that I stamped with silver ink on a mesh background stamp. tfl

Fashion in Stitches CAS26

Here is a card I created for Splitcoaststampers' Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS26),

and also for a challenge at Bee Crafty (http://www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com/) and Cup Cake Cards & Crafts (http://www.cupcakecardcraft.co.uk/) to create a card adding color to this digital image. I used an Inkadinkadoo heart stamp to stamp the flower pattern on the dress, masking the belt first. tfl
