I used a bargello technique for my color blocking for today's Splitcoaststampers' Free For All Challenge - F4A84. My patterned papers are from the Porcelain collection by Basic Grey. These are some of my favorite papers. The rose is a new stamp I just got from Glitz. I used watercolor crayons and my aqua painter to color it. The sentiment is from SU's Because I care set. It is on the inside of the card along with another rose. I didn't want to cover up the beautiful bargello design. tfl

Retirement Fun
I needed to make a retirement card for my brother-in-law, so for inspiration, I used 2 challenges:
1. Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge - CC342 - cherry cobbler, early espresso, pool party and neutrals of your choice; and
2. Cards for Men Challenge 20 - sports theme.
This Graphics 45 - A Proper Gentleman - is my favorite paper line to use for masculine cards. Everything coordinates so beautifully and is definitely masculine. I used textured SU cardstock, looks like linen...I think it's also very classy, just like my brother-in-law. I think he'll like this. They live in Florida, and I'm sure he'll spend a lot of his retirement time golfing. tfl

Priscillastyles' Flash the Cat Sugar Crash
I just had to make this card with a new digi stamp from priscillastyles-store! His name is Flash, and he is just too funny! I think he ate too many chocolate mice from his Halloween Trick or Treating. hehe
Priscilla has made another of these with an uncolored mask, and also one
Priscilla has made another of these with an uncolored mask, and also one
that is not for Halloween. And there is even an "Angel Not" cat. She's also got lots of other new digis on her site, so check it out. I made the sentiment on my computer.
The color scheme is from Papercrafts Connection - Color Inspiration Challenge#9.

Bookmarkers CC341
I was going to make the blue bookmarker today anyway, so thought I'd try another using today's Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge - CC341 - tempting turquoise, pumpkin and olive green. My colors might be a little off, but here it is. Stamped dandelions from Hero Arts (one of my favorite stamps) in white pigment ink, then heat embossed with detail white ep. Sponged with inks to resist. Backed with Birds and Vines cuttlebug folder on whitewashed core'dinations paper, then sanded so birds and vines show up in the blues. tfl
Priscillastyles Sunflower w/Butterfly MMSC122
This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC122. The sunflower and the butterfly digital stamps can both be found at priscillastyles-store.

Autumn Thank You FTL158 C4C105
This card was inspired by this week's challenge - C4C105 - at http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/, to create a card or project with a pumpkin on it. The sketch is this week's sketch -FTL158 - at http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/. Trees of Hope WT340
This card is for today's Splitcoaststampers' Ways to Use It Challenge - WT340 - chalkboard technique. I stamped my image on Night of Navy cs with white ink, then chalked over it with green chalk. I didn't really like the dullness, so I just had to bling it up with "snow" with my diamond Stickles. A few little stars, some gold rhinestones, and now I love it! Hope you do too! tfl

Butterfly Thanks SC349
This card is for today's Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge - SC349. It was perfect for a thank you card for my friend and neighbor, Bev. She got me a lovely miniature rose to add to my little rose garden. It will have a special place in my garden and in my heart. Inside it says "Moments of friendship make a beautiful day.", and there is another butterfly stamped inside. Love this new stamp set I just got from innovativestampcreations! I stamped and heat embossed the Thanks and the butterfly, dry embossed the flowered panel and mounted all on orange cs. tfl
