Reindeer Recycled Christmas Card WT337

Today's Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It Challenge - WT337 - was a lot of fun! I always save some of my Christmas cards received from friends and family with the intention of using them to make next year's Christmas cards, but just don't ever really do it. Well, today's challenge was to recycle, so I dug those beauties out, and here is what I came up with, using a card we received from my Uncle and Aunt in Maine. The recycle part is the beautiful little reindeer image. The rest is mine. Fun and easy! tfl

Autumn Smiles SC347

This card is for today's Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge - SC347. I embossed my core'dinations paper with my new brick ef and sanded it to expose the red core. Then I stamped my autumn leaves onto sky blue cs with versamark and brushed 3 different colors of Perfect Pearls on. It is shiny, even though it doesn't show up in the photo. All the layers are distressed around the edges with metallic gold ink also. Hope you like it. tfl

Hot Hot Hot CAS132

This card is for today's Clean and Simple Challenge - CAS132 - at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge theme is Hot Hot Hot. Well, can't get any hotter than the sun! I used 2 different embossing folders and 2 different stamps for this little scene and heat embossed the sunshine, the flower, and the little bee. Added some Stickles, and here you go. Sunshine smiles. tfl

Butterfly Blue Patina IC298

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge - IC298 - to use something from Patina. I was inspired by the butterfly ring above. I loved the way it came out, and decided to make another, with a little bit different layout and colors. tfl

Christmas Wonderland F4A78

This card is for today's Free 4 All Challenge - F4A78 - at Splitcoaststampers - to use dry embossing as your main focal point. This is right up my alley, as it is one of my favorite techniques. I used another of my favorite things - core'dinations paper - to emboss the trees and the sentiment, then sanded to bring out the beautiful blue-green color on the back. Added stickles, a piece of wrinkled sparkly ribbon for snow, and there you go! I love the way this came out. Hope you do too!

You Are My Sunshine WT335

This card is for today's Splitcoaststampers' Ways to Use It Challenge - WT335. We were to make something warm. Can't get much warmer than sunshine! I stamped by "You Are My Sunshine" stamp, then dry embossed the sunshine. Brayered VersaMark on the dry embossing, sprinkled with clear embossing powder, and set with my heat gun. A little sun stamped inside, and orange/yellow polka dotted paper lining the inside of the front, a little baker's twine, and Voila...instant heat! Hope you like it. tfl

Dandelion Get Well Wishes CAS130

This card is for today's Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS130) at Splitcoaststampers. I stamped my favorite dandelion stamp from Hero Arts twice, then the butterfly and sentiment, both from Stampin' Up, heat embossed all, and drew the frame with a metallic gold marker. I just love this kind of simple and elegant style, don't you? tfl

The Inspiration Challenge - IC296 - at Splitcoaststampers today is to use something from "Modern Lola" site. I chose the top image here as my inspiration: http://www.modernlola.com/shopDetails.asp?CatId=&SubCatId=11&ProductId=939.
I embossed my white cs with the cherry blossom embossing folder, then brayered the oriental lantern folder and ran it through again. Stamped the birthday sentiments, inked edges and mounted it on bordering blue cs. Stamped some oriental flowers inside, and added diamond Stickles on some of the butterflies, flowers, etc. The sparkle doesn't show up well, but it adds a nice touch. tfl
