This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The beautiful digital image is from priscillastyles-store. I colored her with Copics, fussy-cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals. "dream" is stamped on my "brick" wall done with whitewash core'dinations paper and sanded. The green pearl swirl embellishment is a little gift Priscilla sent me a long time ago, and the beautiful shimmering sheer lavendar ribbon (which doesn't really show up well in the pic, sorry) is from my wedding 5 years ago, which we just celebrated on 11/11/11. tfl
My friend, Joyce, collects all things "chicken". When I saw this cute little digi stamp from beccysplace, I just had to make a card for her with it. For the layout I was inspired by a sketch challenge - FMS12 - at Freshly Made. I colored the little chick with Copics, and used beautiful coordinated designer papers from My Mind's Eye. tfl
My card today was inspired by today's Splitcoaststampers' Inspiration Challenge - IC312 - inspiration from Glennajean, found here:
This card is for 4 challenges. I need some get well cards for my stash, and this new image from priscillastyles-store is just sooooo cute I just had to use it, and it is perfect for these challenges:
Today's Inspiration Challenge - IC311 - at Splitcoaststampers led me to Singing Cat Studios, where one of the first pieces I saw was the pendant shown above. Not only did it inspire my card, but I had to have it, so I ordered it right away...can't wait to get it in the mail! What beautiful creations Kim has made! I brayered the blue over dry embossed metallic cs. The sentiment is the bottom part of one of the stamps in SU's Thoughts and Prayers set. tfl
This card is for 2 challenges, again using a cute little digital image from Bugaboo Stamps. The challenges are:
This card is for 3 challenges:
I was commissioned to do a card for a friend's son, who is a surfer. I used today's color challenge - CC349 - at Splitcoaststampers as inspiration for my colors (baja breeze, lucky limeade and calypso coral). The "surfboards" are made with Inkadinkadoo "Petal Expressions" stamps, the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Hero Arts CL139 birthday set. Sorry, I can't remember where the little sealife stamps are from. tfl
This card is for Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC130. The beautiful Christmas Ornaments digital stamp is from priscillastyles-store. I colored the digi with Copic markers and made the poinsettias with my new Spellbinders dies. Love these things. Stenciled the veins on the leaves with gold metallic marker, and added little gold studs for centers. Some gold ribbon, and voila! tfl
Needed to make a birthday card for my sweet granddaughter, Brittany, so I was inspired by today's Splitcoaststampers' Inspiration Challenge - IC310. My inspiration was a cute little polka dot plate from Sally Meekins Ceramics. I chalked inside my Nestabilities scalloped circle with a rosy color and then stamped and heat embossed my cupcake and sentiment.
Today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary, and I made this card for my dh. I used the challenge at Splitcoaststampers to use embellishments we are thankful for - F4A90. Well, I don't know if everyone would consider embossing folders embellishments, but they are one of my favorite things to use on cards. They just add so much texture and interest. I did the embossing and used chalks and copics for coloring. tfl
This card is for today's Splitcoaststampers' Sketch Challenge - SC358. Just got this cute little baby bear embossing folder from Darice. Love it! Never seem to have enough baby cards, so thought I'd make some up. I chalked the little bear to make him stand out, as he seemed to get lost with some color. The Little Bundle of Joy stamp is the Punches Three set from Stampin' Up. I stamped it with VersaMark and Chocolate Chip ink, then heat embossed it. tfl
This card is for Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge - CC348 - cajun craze, kraft, and tempting turquoise. When I saw this pic of a trio of cute little donkeys it reminded me of my manicurist, as she is the only person I know who has a pet donkey. Aren't they soooo cute???!! So...I made this card for her. I made the sentiment on my computer. tfl
This card is for Splitcoaststampers' Technique Lovers Challenge - TLC 350 - No Stamps Allowed. I used my new embossing folder by Darice...LOVE this ef! Embossed it onto Core'dinations cs and sanded, then colored the leaves with watercolor markers. Printed the thank you and did some more dry embossing and chalking. Oh, and the leaf is from a beautiful weeping birch we have out front. tfl
This card was inspired by the above picture from Week 1 inspiration challenge from http://justinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/.
This looks like a fun new challenge blog...and they have blog candy...ending tonight...hurry!
This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC128. The beautiful digital image is one of the newest from priscillastyles-store. Last weekend my neighbor and I took part in a craft fair here at our community club house. She makes adorable pincushions, and I wanted to thank her for helping me set up my pegboard cardholder, so this image was just perfect to make her a little thank you card. It is also for the following challenges:
