Where's the Sun??????

OMG! It has rained so much here lately...and yesterday we lost power for most of the day because of all the rain and wind! Sure missing FL right now, but I know soon it will be beautiful and we'll be sitting on our deck enjoying the wonderful weather without the humidity of FL. So....for now I've created my own sunshine with this card.

Flowers in Print

Today's Technique Lovers Challenge - TLC317 - was to use newspaper in our creation. I used 4 different flower punches and inked around the edges, crumpled 2 bottom layers, and fluffed the rest after putting them all together with a brad. Cuttlebugged and sanded my core'dinations paper, made the little thank you tag and a little stick pin. First time using the ribbon...been hoarding it...hehe. Isn't it beautiful???!! tfl

You Make Me Smile

This card is for today's Ways to Use It Challenge - WT314 - at Splitcoaststampers. We were to use smiles somehow on our creation. Well, this little bee has always made me smile, so I thought he'd be a perfect choice, and the nice bright yellows are pretty cheery too! Everything was stamped and heat embossed, and the vellum paper on the bottom seemed to be just right. One of my very favorite ribbons finish it off. tfl

Funny Love Bugs

This card is for 2 challenges at Splitcoaststampers today - TLC315 (That's Odd) to make an odd-shaped card, and CAS109 to make a clean and simple card to tickle your funny bone. I love these little bugs, a Stampendous stamp, and the "bugs & hisses" sentiment, which is really a "hugs & kisses" image that I stamped and then altered with pencil and scratching away ink. The card itself was cut with a Coluzzle (haven't used them in ages!!) tfl

Oriental Leaf

This card is for Splitcoaststampers SC322. I found this leaf on the ground at a local winery that belongs to our neighbor friend's son. We were just walking along and I saw it on the ground. Sprayed it with gold Glimmer Mist and cuttlebugged the paper I had sprayed on for the card base. tfl
