Masculine Birthday Card MMSC56 CC273

This card is for my brother-in-law's birthday. I used 2 challenges for inspiration:
1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC56 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/05/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-56.html for the layout; and
2. Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge - CC273 - found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492949.
I stamped the birthday cake and sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink and colored with Copics. Then I added glossy accents to the cake stand to make it look like glass, and added a little sky blue, which was the "dessert option" for the color challenge. Added gold stickles to the candle flames and brown stickles to the chocolate birthday cake. A few washers and clips for accents, and it's done. Hand drew the candle and sentiment on the envelope. tfl

Oh, you did an absolutely fantastic job on the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge this week. And, a masculine card at that. They can be tricky, but you aced this one. LOVE your use of the washers, crystal effects on the cake, stickles and ribbon treatment. You did a spectacular job and I truly hope you can join us again next week! P.S. Love the hand-drawn matching envie too!

Valerie this is just lovely. I like that you decorated the little edge of the envelope too! How cute. Don't you just love crystal effects. I love the added effect it gives to your stamped images. I have been using it a lot lately myself. Great job with the sketch this week. Thank you for playing along with us at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.
