Bright & Cheerful Christmas Gift Card

This gift card was inspired by 2 challenges:

1. Splitcoaststampers - WT354 - Digi Day;

2. ABC Christmas Challenge - Z is for Zingy Colours - inspired by the colorful turkeys shown above;

and a tutoral for a gift card holder by Jen Leeflang from South Africa, which can be found here: http://jencraftsa.blogspot.com/.

The digi image is from Bugaboo Stamps. It's supposed to be a birthday image, but I made it into a Christmas one with the colors and sentiment. The merry Christmas sentiment is a new set I got from Stampin' Up, called Petite Pairs. The other half of this pair is stamped inside..."and a Happy, Joyful, Bright New Year". tfl

Snowy Owl Thank You

This is the second of my Christmas Thank You cards. I used the Sketch Challenge - SC364 - at Splitcoaststampers as my inspiration. Also, Challenge PTT#47 - to use ribbon - at Party Time Tuesdays.

The stamps used are Stampin' Up's Delicate Doilies, and Inkadinkadoo's Winter Birds and Round Frames (the "thank you"). They were all stamped and heat embossed.

I wanted shimmery white ribbon, but didn't have any, so I used grossgrain ribbon and covered it with diamond Stickles. tfl

Thank You Doilies

Wow! It's been a couple of weeks since I posted. Been busy with Christmas stuff...but I'm finally done...I hope! Now I need to get some Thank You cards made up for gifts we've received. Got the new Delicate Doilies stamp set from Stampin' Up a while back, but no chance to use them, so thought I'd break them out for today's Color Challenge - CC354 - at Splitcoaststampers. The "thank you" stamp is from Stampin' Up's Because I Care set. tfl

MMSC134 Bird Song

This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC134. I love these little birds on a wire by Priscilla, which can be found here at priscillastyles-store. I colored them with copics and printed my background papers. The beautiful flower is a dimensional sticker. tfl

O Christmas Tree IC313 WT351

This card is for Splitcoaststampers' Inspiration Challenge - IC313 - and was inspired by a Christmas ornament by Christopher Radko at

I started out with the faux letterpress technique used in Thursday's Ways to Use It challenge - WT351...didn't really like the way the background came out, so did a die cut oval topper cuttlebugged with snowflakes ef, colored the raised embossing on the tree and the ornaments. Glossy Accents on the ornaments, stickles on the garland and star, some die-cut snowflakes with rhinestones and a snowflake ribbon. Started out as a simple card, turned into this !!!! hehe...You never know sometimes! tfl

Birthday Snow WT351

This is a birthday card for our nephew, Andy. He moved from Florida to Virginia last year, and since they do get a lot of beautiful sparkly snow in the winter, thought he would like this. For inspiration, I used the Ways to Use It Challenge - WT351 - at Splitcoaststampers - to use faux letter press. I brayered my tree folder with bordering blue ink and ran it through. At first, I was kind of disappointed in the coverage, but for this card, it actually worked to my advantage, as it looks like blowing snow. Then I did the same with the Happy Birthday folder and cut out a part of it for the sentiment. Added torn "snow" and Stickles and it's done. Very sparkly and pretty in real life. tfl
