When Life Gives You Lemons... SC286 TCPTues115
This card is for 2 challenges:
1. Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge - SC286; and
2. TCPTues115, found here: http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/2010/06/tcp-tuesday-115.html. The picture of glass tiles under my card pic was the inspiration.
I cut striped paper into strips and then staggered them and taped together on the back to mimic tiles. Added glossy accents, and Voila...tiles! Got the idea of how to stagger the stripes from SmylinStef http://ingeniousinkling.typepad.com/ingenious_inkling/2010/06/moxie-fab-paper-bargello.html. Thanks, Stef.
The image is a freebie from Tiffany Doodles found at CDAC here: http://priscillastyles.ning.com/forum/topics/freebie-digi-kick-off. Thanks, Tiffany! I also added Glossy Accents to it to make it look like a glass pitcher. The image has a cute little umbrella, but I wanted to use a cocktail umbrella for dimension. tfl

The braid is a gift I got from Priscilla at Priscillastyles, and the little charm is from an old necklace I had years ago. tfl

Classy and Fabulous SC285
This card is for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge - SC285, found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494966. The cute little hat is a freebie from Daisy Doodles, which can be found here on the new Crafters Digital Art Center site:
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/forum/topics/freebie-digi-kick-off. This and many more free digis can be found here. I used watercolor pencils to color the image, and digital word art (sorry, don't remember from where) for the sentiment. Didn't have the right color red for my flowers, so made my own polka dotted paper with a white paint pen and some real red cs. Inside the card says..."and YOU are Both!" tfl

My sister gave me a beautiful watercolor set about a year ago, and I've been scared to use it. Have been using watercolor pencils, but not paints in a tube. Well, this image just screamed "Watercolor me!!"...so I thought, what the heck, so this is my first. Of course, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, although I know practice will make it better, so be gentle ~.~.
Inside is stamped "With Sincere Sympathy" which has a little flower beside it, also watercolored.
Thanks for looking, and hope you're having a great day!

This card is for 2 challenges at Splitcoaststampers:
1. TLC277 - to make a card with one layer; and
2. CAS71 - make a clean and simple card with things that fly.
I used my favorite cardstock (Core'dinations), cuttlebugged with 3 different cuttlebug folders, and sanded it to make the designs stand out. Stamped the cute little bird with white pigment ink, and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. A piece of white ribbon, and a little red heart for a pop of color, and there you go. Hope you like it. tfl

Sketch Challenge at Cowgirlssundaystampenchallenge
Today there is a new sketch challenge at Cowgirlup, which you can find here: http://cowgirlssundaystampenchallenge.blogspot.com/.
My card is made with this beautiful checked fairy image hand-drawn by CJ. Isn't she just beautiful??!! She is colored with watercolor pencils. I traced her wings onto vellum and cut them out and put them behind her. After I assembled the card I popped her up on the "moon" and put diamond Stickles on her wings. The Stickles made her wings curl a little bit, and I just love the effect!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you'll go to the challenge blog and play along! CJ has just put lots of new images that can be used for Father's Day in the store here: http://cowgirlupdigitalstampenranch.com/.

He's a Keeper
This card is made with a brand new digital stamp created by CJ at Cowgirl Up Stamps here: http://cowgirlupdigitalstampenranch.com/. It's a great digi for a masculine card...seems there are never enough of them! CJ has just put out a whole bunch of them in her store for Father's Day!! Check them out!
I used the stamp for today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers - F4A16 - found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494368. It was to make a card with the inside as your focus.
I colored my image with watercolor pencils and used my Asian cuttlebug folder...who knew it would be good for a masculine fishing card???!!! lol Added glossy accents to the splashing water, and voila! tfl

First DT & Non-Challenge Entry for Cowgirlup
This is my first entry as a DT member of http://cowgirlupdigitalstampenranch.com/. Isn't this image soooo cute??!! I used the TLC276 challenge from Splitcoastampers for my layout inspiration. It was to make a personalized card for a specific person (that would be my 16-year old granddaughter, who loves horses, and has taken riding lessons), and to use a favorite technique. I love to use watercolor pencils, and to use the out-of-the-box technique, and to recycle wallpaper samples. The bg paper is a wallpaper border sample, and the buckled rein is cut from a coordinating wallpaper sample. Thanks for looking.

Masculine Birthday Card MMSC56 CC273
This card is for my brother-in-law's birthday. I used 2 challenges for inspiration:
1. Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - MMSC56 - found here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/05/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-56.html for the layout; and
2. Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge - CC273 - found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492949.
I stamped the birthday cake and sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink and colored with Copics. Then I added glossy accents to the cake stand to make it look like glass, and added a little sky blue, which was the "dessert option" for the color challenge. Added gold stickles to the candle flames and brown stickles to the chocolate birthday cake. A few washers and clips for accents, and it's done. Hand drew the candle and sentiment on the envelope. tfl
