This is my entry for SCS Limited Supplies Challenge (LSC222). I used wallpaper samples and core'dinations cardstock which I sanded to distress and cut out the leaf and fishing fly. I scrunched the leaf for dimension and popped the fly up on a pop-dot. There's a picture of a fish inside. This will be for my husband for Father's Day. tfl

Circle of Life Cupcake Birthday LSC221
Well, I need 4 birthday cards for this month, so this challenge worked perfectly to get a start. This was a fun one! Thanks SCS. LSC221 (using circles and only stamps from one set) was perfect. I popped the cupcake image and the scalloped circle it's on on pop dots. Otherwise, kept bulk low for easy mailing. Hope you like it. tfl

Sympathy SC229, CC219
Well, just returned from vacation in Vegas & CA to find that the first card I needed to do was a sympathy card for my brother-in-law and his family, as they lost his mother last week. So, I decided to combine today's sketch challenge (SC229) and yesterday's color challenge #CC219) at SCS. I used watercolor pencils on the digital stamp last night and allowed it to dry overnight before putting the card together today. Cuttlebugged the coredinations paper and added some subtle gold highlights to the flowers and around the image panel. The inside top is covered with the flowered wallpaper to cover the brads and to brighten it up a little. The inside sentiment is "May your love for each other help you through this difficult time." tfl

Thanks for stopping by my blog. There won't be any new posts til at least the 18th. Bob and I are going to Vegas for my brother's wedding and then to California to scope out the Placerville/Sacramento area where we are thinking of moving to when he retires. But...I'll be back!!!

Orchid Love SC227, STVPF11, STVCC11
This card is for 3 challenges: SC227, STVPF11 (piercing), and STVCC11 (Chocolate Brown). I love this sketch, and I used some of my favorite paper by Basic Grey. Bob and I have acquired quite a collection of orchids. They love it here in Florida. We made a resolution that we wouldn't buy any more until there was not at least one in bloom. Well...last week he broke the resolution and brought home a beautiful yellow one!! Oh well, I guess I'll forgive him (*grin*). I think I'll give him this card. Hope you like it. tfl

Mother's Day 2009 TLC219
This card is for my wonderful MIL for Mother's Day and for TLC219 at Splitcoaststampers, using the wax paper resist technique. If you turn your head 45 degrees to the right, you will see the card at the right angle...lol. Sorry 'bout that! I used the embossed piece for the front and the debossed piece for the inside. The main image layered panel is an ATC that I made a while back. I knew I wanted to use it for Mother's Day, but wasn't sure how I was going to finish it off as a card. As it turned out, I think this technique worked quite well. The letter stickers inside spelling MOTHER and the little pearl pin on the roses with the bow is made with blog candy that I got from Beverly "beestamper". Thank you, Beverly!! Hope you like the card. tfl
